Summer Band is officially over! We made it! You have worked so hard and it is really paying off! Thanks to all students for an awesome performance Friday night and a spirited performance Saturday at “Meet The Tigers”! School starts in 3 days! Parents - Thank you for your tireless work and support with uniforms, props, fundraising, and all you do to support your child’s musical experience.
FORMS FOR BAND
2021 BISD Drug Consent Form - we still have some who haven’t turned in the form. All parents and students must sign this form. DUE ASAP!!!! ALL forms needed for band are here:
INDIVIDUAL STUDENT PHOTOS BY PHOTO TEXAS
On Monday, August 16th, the band students will have the opportunity to be professionally photographed in their band uniform. These are not required photos, but this will be the only opportunity offered this year. The pictures will be taken by PhotoTexas Photography; this is the same company who takes school pictures for many BISD schools. PhotoTexas is a profit-sharing company, so the band boosters will receive a portion of the purchased photos.
Bring your order forms and form of payment to the photo shoot. Order forms will be available in the band hall Monday morning if you need one.
Students with last names beginning with letters A-L should report to the band hall at 8:30am to begin dressing in their uniforms, and students with last names beginning in letters M-Z should report at 9:30am.
M100 members should arrive wearing any t-shirt and shorts that will fit under their uniform; no special unders are required. Black socks and shoes should also be worn. Students should plan to bring their instrument if they would like to have it in the photo. Guard members will wear their show costume and appropriate shoes. All hair and make-up is the preference of the student. Shakos (hats) will be available for students to hold on their lap.
BAND LEADERSHIP - TIGER CAMP AT SBMS
Leadership should be at SBMS at 3:15pm tomorrow - 8/16/21. You will be done no later than 6pm. Please wear your red M100 t-shirt and bring instruments, flags, and flip folders. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Wiley - sara.wiley@bisd.net. (Guard - talk to Mr. H for your uniform)
BAND “UNDERS”
If you ordered unders from Cochran, Blair, and Potts or at Everything Day, we have those orders and they are in the band hall and will be distributed to students during their class time on Wednesday, Aug. 18th. New Tech students can either stop by right after school Wednesday for theirs or wait until they are on campus at BHS for their band class this coming week. BHS BAND LETTER JACKETS
A representative from SSR (letter jackets) will be coming by the band hall tomorrow to pick up completed forms. If you have a form to turn in, please do so before 9am tomorrow. Thanks!
