We have a big week ahead of us! Our Pre-UIL concert is this Thursday, the Jazz Ensemble will be performing at the Temple College Jazz Festival, and we will be revealing the 2023 M100 production, "The Heat of Winter 2: The Polar Express Strikes Back" this week!

NEW INFORMATION AND UPDATES
COLOR GUARD GEORGETOWN CONTEST - Our JV and Varsity Winter Guard teams have concluded their seasons this past Saturday with JV placing 7th in their division and Varsity placing 8th in theirs. It has been awesome watching the teams perform and grow throughout the season and I am proud of all of the hard work each of you has put in! Thanks to all band members who traveled and assisted with the guard and their performances!
3/27 STATE SOLO/ENSEMBLE RECOGNITION - The 7 students that qualified for State Solo and Ensemble will be recognized at the Board Meeting at the Pittenger Center tomorrow! Below is the information for the event.

Meeting starts at 6:15pm.
Students will remain at the meeting for all student recognitions, then leave as a full group once all recognitions are done.
AFTER SCHOOL SECTIONAL SCHEDULE - Due to the timing of the board meeting, we will need to cancel the Wind Ensemble after school brass/percussion sectional. We WILL still have the woodwind after school sectional on Tuesday. Wind Symphony will have a FULL REHEARSAL TOMORROW ON MONDAY and the Symphonic Band will have a FULL REHEARSAL ON TUESDAY, both from 4:45pm-6:00pm.
3/29 BHS HOSTING MIDDLE SCHOOL CHOIR UIL - We will be hosting MS choir UIL this Wednesday, March 29th. The band hall will not be accessible during the day. It is my intention for the Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble to rehearse during this day. We will provide more details once we have more information.
3/30 PRE-UIL CONCERT/2023 SHOW REVEAL - The Belton High School Symphonic Band, Wind Symphony and Wind Ensemble will be performing their respective UIL concert programs on Thursday, March 30 at 6:30pm in the Belton HS Performing Arts Center. We highly recommend that family and friends attend this concert, as this may be the only opportunity to hear the students perform this music due to the UIL contest taking place during the school day. Students will need to be dressed in full concert formal wear by their respective call times.

We will also be revealing our 2023 marching show for next year immediately after the Wind Ensemble performance!

4/1 TEMPLE COLLEGE JAZZ FESTIVAL - The Belton High School Jazz Ensemble will be performing at the Temple College Jazz Festival at 10:00am! Please come out and support the ensemble if you are able! Admission to the performances throughout the day are free! Below is the itinerary for jazz students.
Attire: Concert Black
(Please eat a healthy breakfast before you arrive to school!)
8am - Band Hall Opens
8:15am - Call Time
8:30am - Leave for Temple College
8:45am - Arrive
9am - Unload Bus/Check-in
9:30am - Warm-up
10am - Perform
10:30am - Post Performance Clinic
11am - Return to Auditorium
12pm - Clinic with Guest Artist, Stefon Harris
1pm - Clinic Finishes/Head to Bus
1:15pm - Approx Leave Time
1:30 pm - Approx Arrival Back at BHS/Dismissal
7:30pm - Temple Jazz Orchestra and Stefon Harris Concert*
