Dear M100 Family,
We have had quite the week this week, with awesome performances from ALL of our groups within the M100 program! All three of our concert bands had great performances at Pre-UIL on Thursday with many positive comments from our judges, both of our jazz ensembles performed well at the Temple College Jazz Festival, and our Winter Guard team has ADVANCED TO THE TCGC STATE CONTEST!!! I am incredibly proud of all of our students for the work that they put into performing at the highest level, and I am honored to get to work with such awesome and capable team-players! Let’s enjoy what we have accomplished thus far, and keep pushing ALL THE WAY TO THE END OF THE YEAR! Here is your weekend update!

SPRING SEMESTER SECTIONALS
ALL ENSEMBLES WILL HAVE GRADED, MANDATORY SECTIONALS BEFORE/AFTER SCHOOL DURING THE SPRING SEMESTER! Each ensemble will create sectional schedules this week. Sectionals are critical to our success for our upcoming UIL performances, so it is imperative that all sectionals are attended and any arising conflicts are avoided.

WINTER GUARD ADVANCES TO STATE!
Congratulations to our Winter Guard team for their performance at the Georgetown contest last Saturday! The results of all of their scores over the course of the season have led to them advancing to the TCGG STATE CONTEST on Saturday, April 6 in College Station!!! Let’s cheer our guard on as they continue the push to the end of the season! GO GUARD!
JAZZ ENSEMBLE I AND II AT TEMPLE COLLEGE JAZZ FESTIVAL
Congratulations to both our Jazz Ensemble I and Jazz Ensemble II groups for receiving superior ratings from all judges at the Temple College Jazz Festival on Saturday, March 23! The jazz program has two more contests in the month of April, so let’s cheer them on as they continue developing their program!
FALL 2024 M100 MARCHING SHOW - UNCHARTED
Next year’s marching show will be entitled “Uncharted”, featuring music from the “Uncharted” video game, the music of “Pirates of the Carribean” and the music of Agnus Obel, Michael Markowski and Gustav Mahler! We’ve got a big adventure ahead of us!
3/25 FALL 2024 M100 AUDITION MUSIC RELEASED
The Fall 2024 M100 Audition Music will be released tomorrow during band classes. Auditions will be held the week of Monday, April 29.
3/26 - 3/27 ALL BAND EQUIPMENT MOVES TO THE GYM
On Wednesday, March 27, Belton HS will be hosting the Region 8 UIL Choir Concert and Sight Reading Contest. Since this contest will utilize the band hall, we will not have access to the band hall on Wednesday, March 27. In order to rehearse during our band periods on this day, we will need to move ALL of our equipment needed for rehearsal to the SMALL GYM on Tuesday, March 26 after school. (Guard will move equipment into the BIG GYM.) The Wind Symphony Brass/Percussion sectional will end at 6pm on Tuesday, so percussion equipment will need to move immediately after the sectional is over. Anyone that is unavailable to move their equipment to the gym is responsible for finding another person to move their things for them. We need 100% effort on this! We cannot afford to lose this day of rehearsal, so let’s make this happen!
4/10 AND 4/12 UIL CONCERT AND SIGHT READING
Our UIL concert and sight reading schedule is now ready!
Symphonic Band will perform on Wednesday, April 10 at Midway HS.
Wind Symphony and Wind Ensemble will perform on Friday, April 12 at Copperas Cove HS.

4/13 BHS SPRING FLING - BOOSTER VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
