Please watch your email, check the news, and maybe even check the BISD district website to keep updated on what our week ahead will look like. I haven’t heard anything yet but the directors will send out information via Charms email and Remind to let you know what to expect for our classes if we are told to stay home and engage in remote learning. CHECK SCHOOLOGY FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO LOG IN TO YOUR CLASSES ZOOMS IF NEEDED. Remember - Monday the 15th is a student holiday - no Zooms. Congratulations Winter Guard for 2 awesome first shows of the season on Monday the 8th in the gym! It was great to see your shows and I’m blown away with how much you’ve already learned and super excited to see how far you will go this season! Love the shows!!!!

SOLO & ENSEMBLE CONTEST -
PARTIALLY RESCHEDULED DUE TO WEATHER!
With the impending weather issues, we feel it best to make the following changes:
Friday, Feb. 19 - We will still hold the contest, after school, for Percussion, piano, and students performing WITHOUT accompaniment (including ensembles)(please see schedule below).
Friday, Feb. 26th - Students performing with piano accompaniment will perform on this date (Please see schedule below)
Many students have only had one session with their accompanist and since we do not know when we might return to campus this coming week, we feel it best to postpone the contest for those students so that they can get another opportunity to work with their accompanist prior to performing.
PLEASE LET MR. KWAKU (firstname.lastname@example.org) KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS WITH THE CONTEST DATES/TIMES. THANK YOU!
IF YOU STILL OWE PIANO ACCOMPANIMENT FEES, PLEASE PAY AS SOON AS YOU CAN. Checks to Belton Band. Cash is accepted too.
Please see payment schedule:
Full Fee ($50) - pay by Feb. 1st
Half ($25) - pay by Feb. 1st
Half ($25) - pay by Feb. 8th
*GIVE PAYMENTS TO MRS. GILL SO I CAN RECORD THEM* THANK YOU!

SENIOR RECOGNITION BOARD:
A message from your Drum Major - Ella Pusey:
Hey seniors! As we are making our plans for the future, Mrs. Gill has asked me to create a board to recognize our seniors and their future plans in the band hall. This can include acceptance into college, tech school, military service, or whatever your future plans may hold. If you'd like to please fill out the survey questions from this QR code and bring me (Ella) a 4x6 picture of you to be displayed on the board. This is completely optional but it would be really cool if you did it!
FUTURE PLANNING - SUMMER BAND 2021
PLEASE DO NOT PLAN ANYTHING THAT WILL CAUSE YOUR CHILD TO MISS SUMMER BAND DURING THESE DATES:
July 26 - 27: Most likely will be M100 LEADERSHIP SESSIONS (including ColorGuard)
July 28 - start of school in August: Summer Band for all Members (including ColorGuard)
ColorGuard and Percussion usually hold a camp during the week of July 19-23
*Confirmed dates will be posted on our band website soon. Tentative dates are there now, however, unless something changes, you can count on Summer Band during these times.
PLEASE RETURN YOUR MARCHING BAND FANNY PACKS
There is a drum case by the wipe board in the band hall to put them in. Thanks!
