BAND HALL PACKING AND LOCKER CLEAN UP
This week, we will begin the process of packing for the move into the new band hall. Come to class prepared to move and organize items so that we can get a head start before we leave for the summer!
5/23 BHS GRADUATION
All members of the M100 that are not graduating will perform at the BHS Graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 23 at 1:00pm. All students will meet during Wind Ensemble class on the following dates. Students that are not in Wind Ensemble will be excused from 1st period on these days. (We will not begin rehearsal before school like we have done in the past.)

5/25 AND 5/27 TEXAS STATE SOLO AND ENSEMBLE
The Texas State Solo and Ensemble contest will be held on Saturday, May 25 and Monday, May 27 at Pflugerville HS for percussionists and Connally HS (Pflugerville ISD) for wind instruments. Students will be expected to provide their own transportation to and from this event. Please arrive no later than 1 hour before your scheduled performance time. This will give you plenty of time to get settled and have a quality warm up before you perform.

FUTURE M100 UPDATES
2024-2025 PHYSICAL AND MEDICAL HISTORY FORM
In order to participate in UIL athletic activities, students will need to provide their physical and medical history form by Thursday, August 1st. Please begin making preparations NOW to do your physical if you have not already so that you will have your form ready by August 1st. Freshmen and Juniors will need to complete BOTH THE PHYSICAL AND THE MEDICAL HISTORY FORM.
Sophomores and Seniors will need to complete the MEDICAL HISTORY FORM ONLY.
Let’s see if we can have 100% of our forms turned in by August 1st!
2024 4TH OF JULY PARADE
The Marching 100 will participate in the 2024 4th of July Parade. This parade is open to all incoming 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade M100 students, as well as students from the class of 2024. All students that will perform at the parade are required to attend the rehearsal on Wednesday, July 3rd. If you are in town, you are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to attend! (You do not need to have your physical completed to participate in this parade as the event is before August 1st.)

Section Leaders and Drum Majors, the SASI Leadership Training Session will be held on Thursday, July 11 and Friday, July 12. Times are to be determined. THIS IS A REQUIRED EVENT FOR ALL SECTION LEADERS AND DRUM MAJORS.
7/15-7/19 COLOR GUARD/PERCUSSION CAMP
Color Guard and Percussion students will begin preparation for next season the week of Monday, July 15.
Color Guard: Monday, July 15 through Friday July 19, 2024 - 9:00am-4:00pm (12pm-1pm Lunch)
Percussion: Monday, July 15 through Thursday, July 18 - 9:00am-4:00pm (12pm-1pm Lunch)
7/23/2024 SUMMER BAND SCHEDULE
The first day of summer band will be Tuesday, July 23, and will last until Friday, August. The schedule for each day will be 8:00am-4:30pm, with a lunch break from 11:00am-12:30pm. The 8:00am-11:00am block will be outside on the practice field, and the 12:30pm-4:30pm block will be inside. The teacher PD schedule for the summer has not yet been finalized, so certain dates may have their times adjusted. I will let everyone know ASAP when I hear about the PD schedule.
On Tuesday, July 23, FRESHMEN AND STUDENT LEADERS will meet from 8:00am-11:00am on the practice field. ALL MEMBERS will meet in the afternoon at 12:30pm.
On Wednesday, July 24, ALL SOPHOMORES, JUNIORS, SENIORS AND STUDENT LEADERS will meet from 8:00am-11:00am on the practice field. ALL MEMBERS will meet in the afternoon at 12:30pm.
2025 M100 UNIVERSAL TRIP - FEEDBACK NEEDED
Next year, the M100 is planning a “Universal” trip to Florida! “Universal” is in quotes because there are currently two options available to us.
We take the trip in late April or May and travel to Universal Studios.
We take the trip in June after school lets out for the summer so that the brand new “Epic Universe” park opens. This would make us one of the first groups to visit the new park!
Please fill out the following survey by the end of the day TUESDAY, MAY 21 to provide your feedback on the trip. I will be meeting with the trip company this week to select dates for the trip so we can begin planning and fundraising.
