SENIOR JACKETS: There was a fitting originally scheduled for April 24th Which will need to be rescheduled. Here’s the response from SSR, the jacket company’s rep. in his last email:
Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, the company will be following school schedules to determine appropriate times to schedule future fitting / order dates.
Currently, their Dallas plant, like all non-essential businesses, is closed.
They will not proceed on any “new” orders until the schools reopen. Once schools open, they will do everything they can to accommodate schools in rescheduling dates. In the event that they do not begin until next August, they will push all of the spring dates to August and September. This will still give them time to get the jackets back to students before cold weather hits.
SENIOR TRIP UPDATE:
The senior trip has been cancelled. The latest communication from the trip company is this:
“We have to wait on the refunds from Disney and that should take about 4-6 weeks. Because of the current situation and everyone working from home now including the vendors it might take longer. Southwest (airlines) is going to give gift cards for the amount of the ticket and they are working on how each participant will receive the gift cards for future use. As soon as I know I will get back to you.”
More information will be shared as soon as it is received. Thank you.

VIRTUAL MARCHING WORKSHOPS:
Coming soon! Mr. Kwaku will present some virtual marching workshops available this month for students to view and learn (or refresh their memories) the fundamentals of marching technique at BHS. These videos will help all students prepare for marching season next year. More information to come!
NEW MEMBER POWER POINT:
A new member power point will be made available by the end of this month. This virtual “new member” meeting will have information about band and what will occur in the Summer, Fall and Spring Semesters. This information is mainly geared toward new members but would be good for anyone who will be joining us in the M100 next year as there are new dates, events, and some minor changes on the horizon. All information will be presented with the idea that we will be able to start Summer Band as it is scheduled on our band calendar and go forward from there as normal throughout the school year (fingers crossed!!)
