Congratulations to our Varsity WinterGuard! They performed beautifully at the WinterGuard International contest yesterday in Leander! The show was absolutely gorgeous and we are very excited to see the performances of Varsity and JV at the Championships Contest in Buda on March 19th! (see pictures below of yesterday’s performance)
Congratulations to Jacob Wiley, Thaddeus Henderson, and Damien Swift for being contracted by the Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps for this coming Drum Corps Season!!

BAND BOOSTER MEETING - MONDAY, 3/7/22
The BHS Band Booster Meeting will be held at 6:30pm in the Commons on Monday, March 7th. Plan to stay a few minutes after if you are interested in the banquet decorating committee or the senior gift committee.
BHS BANDS ENSEMBLE DINNER CONCERT UPDATE
We have attempted to reschedule the Ensemble Dinner Concert. Unfortunately, we have consistently run into conflicts - many students not available on certain dates AND facility availability issues. We have decided that we will offer a performance opportunity for students who are advancing to the State level of Solo and Ensemble in May by planning a recital-type event for those soloists and ensembles going to State. We will publicize this date as soon as we can secure a facility, but we are aiming for a May date. For those other students who may have wanted to showcase their ensemble but didn't advance, I am happy to video these students at their request and post their performance on our website for family and friends. Students just need to set up an appointment with me. Please read on for refund information.
REFUNDS:
Remember to notify cassie.fothergill@gmail.com of your choice for ensemble dinner refund by Friday, March 11th. You can request a full refund, donate your payment to the booster account, or apply your money to your student's Charms account.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Altrusa Scholarship. Any student who is or will be attending a college or vocational school in the state of Texas can apply. There are ten, $2,000 scholarships that will be awarded. Go online to altrusatemple.org and fill out ALL of the information. ALL information has to be submitted or the application will not be considered. The deadline is March 31.

These 2 amazing directors contributed so much to the Belton ISD Band program and mentored countless young teachers.

BAND SECTIONALS, WINTERGUARD REHEARSALS:
Each student in a BHS band will have a sectional outside of the school day once a week this semester. These sectionals will be updated on our band calendar. Please contact your child’s director with any questions. Winter Guard rehearsals are also posted on our band calendar.
