Dear M100 Family,
Today is the last day of school for 2020! We made it! We hope everyone has a wonderful break and can spend some quality time with family (and get some rest too!). Thank you SO MUCH to all who donated to our first annual Toy Drive! Many toys were delivered yesterday to a local charity for families right here in Belton! Thanks to all for a wonderful Holiday Concert Tuesday night! Lots of fun! Congratulations again to all the students who auditioned for the TMEA Region Band and to those who advanced to the Area competition in January (which is also virtual). Please see the listening sign-up genius link below if you’d like us directors to help you over the break.
This will be the last Weekend Update for 2020. Take care everyone and Happy Holidays!

BAND AUDITION RESULTS FOR SPRING 2021
The directors are still working through the auditions and the next step is to get information from counselors regarding schedule changes. Once results are finalized, we will post them. This will be in January. The new semester doesn’t start until January 25th so students will stay in their current band classes until then. Thanks!
WIND ENSEMBLE REHEARSALS STARTING 2ND SEMESTER
Just a reminder that those students who make Wind Ensemble (our most advanced ensemble) will need to report to school by 8am starting on January 25th, 2021. Our class would then run from 8am-9:30am. This has been mentioned in class for many months now. Parents - please let me know if transportation will be an issue for your family. Our current class period is only 45 minutes and this is in no way enough time for us to prepare the level of music that is appropriate and challenging for this varsity level group. As with other varsity level activities, it is instructionally appropriate that we start early so we can get the same amount of instructional time (90 minutes) as other varsity 6A level groups. Thank you.
